Foundry,AL.Casting and Machining Parts

Casting process is one of the methods to make parts, in which a melting substance (metal) is poured into a mold (including a hollow pit in the form of the relevant part) and left to be gradually cooled down and eventually the final part is taken out of the mold. From the major advantages of applying this method include producing parts with high shape and appearance complexity and mass production in a short time with relatively low cost. The common casting processes in automotive parts making including sand casting, gravity die casting, high pressure die casting and low pressure die casting.Meanwhile, machining process is one of the several methods to make parts, in a way that a piece of raw substance (or metal) is cut in the shape and final size using such process. Also several ways are used in this method for automotive parts machining, inter alia, milling, lathing, punching, cutting, sawing, bending, etc. However, there are certain tools used in making special and race cars, such as machining using electron and ion radiation, laser cutting, plasma arch, etc.
